Lamu District is located on the Indian Ocean along the northern coast of Kenya. Lamu is rich in History and culture. A magical place of long white sandy beaches, rolling sand dunes dotted with palms and acacia Tortilis trees. Lamu is renowned for its many festivals and events, wellbeing and yoga centres, water sports centres, deep sea fishing and dhow charters for day excursions and sunset sailing cruises, sand yachting, historic sites, local businesses, guided tour, Swahili meals and culture e.t.c. The largest of the islands are Pate Island, Manda Island and Lamu Island. The smaller islands include Kiwayu and Manda Toto.
