Karibuni!
From dusty postbags and busses on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro

It was in 1996 when we first founded Kibo Slopes Safaris in Loitokitok a slumbering Maasai town within the serene foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. In the past 20 years times have drastically changed and the company too has meandered many paths of transformation in a continuous effort to better and more intensively share our knowledge, experience and most of all our passion for the unique cultural and natural diversity of this region.

Back in the 90’s this endeavour was channelled through our local post office from where our letters embarked on a long and often unpredictable journey first to Nairobi by bus and then to the rest of the world.

To wish lists, Skype calls and Facebook streams

As I look up from my desktop today and remember those days long gone by there is no doubt that it is indeed the advancement of digital communication technology that has most dramatically changed the efficiency and pace of our industry. Whilst the internet today offers obvious convenience to those seeking an informed holiday choice it has also massively changed the way we, as operators, are able to stay in touch with our customer base and enhance transparency and efficiency in the services we deliver.

Through our new website we are not only delivering a more extensive and accessible knowledgebase on East African destinations but also seek to engage and exchange more intensively with our clients especially through our views on East Africa which we hope will find much interest and most of all a vibrant feedback.

A shrinking world calls for expansion!

As the globe seems to be shrinking through digitization, we at Kibo Slopes have drastically expanded be able to cover the entire East African region, offering the same standards of efficiency and comfort through our new office network in Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya.

You may discover the new cross border adventures, in fact, the new East Africa we propose through our newly designed location based website navigation.

We look forward to seeing you and your views on www.kiboslopessafaris.com

East Africa Elephant walk
with Elephant Neighbors Center
As part of our corporate social responsibility this year, we have supported the initiative to stop the massive poaching of elephants in East Africa.

Elephant Neighbors Center, led by Jim Nyamu launched the East Africa Elephant Walk aimed at creating awareness about elephant & rhino poaching.

We supported this initiative by offering an escort land cruiser from the flag off of the campaign to Arusha in Tanzania. Kibo Slopes Safaris is committed to protecting endangered species not only in Kenya but in Africa as well.
