Itinerary Details

Day 1
This tour begins in Arusha town where you will be picked from your hotel at 7.30 am. We first drive to Arusha National park for game drives and an optional game walk. After lunch at the Momella Lodge, we drive to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge and after an early dinner proceed for a night game drive in the Manyara National Park, famed for elephants and tree climbing lions besides nocturnal game such as Hippos which leave the waters to graze at night.

Day 2
After breakfast and checking out of our rooms we drive with packed lunch to Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. We arrive in time for our picnic lunch at the site, and after lunch we will do an afternoon game drive in the Ndutu area where the majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April and to May. The area is usually heavily populated with elephants, birds and resident games. Finally we will drive to Serengeti Sopa Lodge with game viewing en-route. We arrive at sunset for dinner and overnight stay Serengeti.

Day 3
Morning game drives before breakfast and checking out of your rooms. Further morning game drives before lunch at the lodge. You will then be collected for drives traverse the rolling Serengeti plains. There is no better place to be to witness the interplay of predator and prey as they follow the rain patterns and pastures. Here you will witness the natural wonders of the world renowned Serengeti, the oldest and largest game park in Tanzania. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the Serengeti Serena Lodge.

Day 4
This is another day to explore the Serengeti. After Breakfast you will proceed to explore the Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti ecosystem hosts a high concentration of wild animals including Elephant, Lion, Cheetah, Buffalo and many more animal species. Lunch, Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Serengeti Serena Lodge.

Day 5
After morning game drives we return to the lodge for lunch, check out and drive to Ngorongoro. We stop at the Olduvai Museum and excavation site. This is a truly magical place with excavated fossils showing that the area is one of the oldest sites of hominoid habitation in the world. After the visit we proceed to our lodge on the crater rim just in time to watch sun set over the western horizon. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 6
Today we will have an early breakfast and descend with packed lunch to the crater floor for a game drive. Ngorongoro crater has most of the wildlife species found in East Africa. Here, Elephants mingle freely with plains game and Rhinos, while predators wait for their prey and scavengers clean up the plains. Hippos can be spotted besides numerous water birds in the pools. After a lunch break at scenic pool, we climb the caldera walls and leave Ngorongoro for Arusha.
