This safari combines exceptional wildlife viewing and bird life watching in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will get to see the “endless plains” of Serengeti and maybe experience some action of lions hunting the gazelles. You will also widen your evolution knowledge by visiting Olduvai Gorge where two archaeologists: Mary and Louise Leakey discovered the oldest human fossils.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport (Arusha)
After arrival which will be in the evening we will be picked for the transfer to KIA lodge.

Day 2: Early transfer
After breakfast we will drive to Arusha airport for flight to Northern Serengeti. We will drive in the “endless plains” the Maasai name for Serengeti. Our dreams of watching lions hunt numerous wildebeests and gazelles may become a reality. We will spend the night at Lobo Wildlife Lodge on full board basis.

Day 3: Game drives in Lobo area
After breakfast, we will explore Lobo Area. Lobo has wonderful permanent resident animals because of good permanent springs and also is the catchment area for the Grumeti River. This is a good chance to see the cats (lion, cheetah and leopard. Along the Lobo hills we might see leopards and lions because the area is populated with buffaloes. At sunset, we will return to Lobo Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive to Central Serengeti
After breakfast we will game drive to Central Serengeti have lunch at Kati Kati Camp then do an afternoon gam drive in the Serengeti. We will spend the night at Kati Kati Camp on full board basis.

Day 5: Game drives in Central Serengeti area
We will drive through the Park which is 1.5 million hectares of savannah. It is home to thousands of wildebeests and gazelles and their predators after they migrate from Kenya in search of greener pastures and water. The plains offer the largest and most diverse predator-prey interaction in the world giving you an unforgettable experience. We will return to Kati Kati Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Depart to Ngorongoro
After morning game drives we will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area through the South eastern plains. We will spend the night at Ndutu Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Game drives in Ndutu
We will have game drives in Ndutu located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Its wide plains and lake are a home to wildebeests, gazelles and all types of cats. We will spend the night at Ndutu Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater
Morning game drives then depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. We will drive through the Maasai territory, a pastoralist community and get to learn about their nomadic culture. We will pay a visit to Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site where Mary and Louise Leaky discovered human fossils. We will see footprints believed to be of mankind dating to 3 million years ago. We will spend overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 9: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning we will drive into the crater for game drive with breakfast picnic. After lunch drive down to Karatu area for our final night “in the bush”. Later we will drive to Endoro for dinner and spend the night.

Day 10: Early morning guided walk to waterfall & “elephant caves”
We will have lunch at Endorro then depart after lunch for Arusha, have optional dinner at Kia Lodge & transfer to airport for flights home.
