This tour will expose you to the fantastic wildlife in Massai Mara, the beautiful Lake Naivasha and get to relax at the luxurious Sweetwaters tented Camp located in Ol Pejeta at the foot of Mt Kenya. You will also get to visit Solio Reserve which is home to the last three Northern white rhinos on the planet. Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi by 8.00am
Departure from the US and arrival at Nairobi the following evening.
Day 2: Game drive at Solio Reserve
After breakfast, we will set out for a game drive in Solio Reserve which is home to one of the best rhino breeding/conservation programs in East Africa. We will had back to the country club for lunch and dinner and spend the night there.
Day 3: Drive to Ol Pejeta
Our camp is in the center of this 110,000 acre conservancy. Ol Pejeta has the highest wildlife to area concentration of all the Kenyan reserves. It is also the home to the last three Northern white rhino in the planet. We spend the night at Sweetwaters Tented Camp which is a sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy; Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and Kenyan safari luxury.
Day 4: Full day in Ol Pejeta
We will spend the day in the Conservancy for wildlife viewing and overnight at Sweetwaters Camp. The conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five” (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). We get to meet the last male northern white rhino in the world, named Sudan and learn about what it takes to protect the species from poachers. Lunch and dinner will be at Sweetwaters Camp.
Day 5: Drive to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, we will drive to Naivasha where we will have optional activities such as boat riding or visit The Hell's Gate. We will have lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge and stay for the night.
Day 6: Drive to Maasai Mara
After breakfast we will drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Once inside the reserve we are game-driving to our camp; Mara Ashnil where we will spend the next three days.
Day 7, 8,9: Exploring the Mara
For these three days we will explore Maasai Mara which hosts one of the greatest mammal migrations on earth- the Wildebeest Migration. The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti in Tanzania. All the “Big Five” are found here. Game drives in the Mara always exceed expectations. At the Mara River we find Hippos and Crocodiles while herds of Elephants and Buffaloes feed on the lush grass. We will be spending overnight at the beautiful Mara Ashnil Camps.
Day 10: Departure for Nairobi
After breakfast we will take a game drive to the airstrip for the flight to Nairobi. In the afternoon, we will visit the city sites and retire at Ole Sereni Hotel along Mombasa Road.
Day 11: Check out of the hotel
After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and visit David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust also known as the Elephant orphanage located next to the Nairobi National Park., the centre rescues and cares for orphaned elephants throughout Kenya and is the one of the most successful elephant rescue programs in the world and later we will visit a Children’s Home. Later we will have our final dinner together before boarding our flights home.
